The Allen School has been providing quality instruction to students in the allied health field for over 30 years. We are seeking instructors for online and hybrid programs in the following areas:
Hybrid MA Program Overview
This program prepares learners to become medical assistants in physician’s offices, clinics, or hospitals. The program is a 900-hour curriculum followed by an internship. Some courses are fully online, but most have an online component and students come to campus on Saturday for labs and hands-on activities.
Online Medical Assistant Billing and Coding (MIBC) Program Overview
Our Medical Insurance Billing/Coding program is designed to prepare students to sit for certification exams for entry-level positions (CCA or CPC-A) as Medical Insurance Billing and Coding associates in physician’s offices, clinics, and hospitals. This is a 900-hour curriculum completed completely online.
Required Qualifications for Teaching with Allen School:
- 2 years practical experience required, no exceptions
- Previous teaching experience strongly preferred
- Online teaching experience strongly preferred
- Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred for Hybrid MA Program
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred for MIBC Program
- Working knowledge of computers and online technology is preferred
- For the Hybrid MA courses with lab components, you must be available to come to our Brooklyn, NY, Jamaica, NY, or Glendale, AZ campuses on Saturdays.
